Matthew Perry è stato un attore, produttore e drammaturgo americano-canadese. È diventato celebre e amato in tutto il mondo per il ruolo di Chandler Bing nella comedy Friends (1994 - 2004), interpretazione che gli è valsa una candidatura all'Emmy. Ha raccontato la sua vita tormentata, ostacolata dalla dipendenza verso droghe e alcol nell'autobiografia «Friends», amanti e la Cosa Terribile (La nave di Teseo, 2022).
Matthew Perry è stato trovato morto nella sua casa a Los Angeles il 28 ottobre 2023.
